Alright! I see you made a few changes to each page. I also see I didn't load the correct format to locations. (fixed it) I had loaded up the pages maybe 20 times or more making this work.
OK, Ready for lesson # 2 on editing the home page. As you notice if you pass your mouse over 'about Us' it shows the old address.
Here's how to change it along with any other writein.
Go to your custom build control panel, you like it? Cool huh!
The default radio button is already selected at 'View' so leave it as is and select home.html
Note: you can't edit here but I can refer to the line number.
You will see the code that makes the page and there are numbers to the left starting with 0 and going down.
line:
30 <!-- Rueben this where can edit the writein on mouse over. edit only between the " "s and it has to all be on one line also no "s, you can use a single '. //-->
That is a note to you to where you can edit.
So go to line:
37 var first_part = "Kungfu Heaven Studios..... make your new changes here.
Remember only between the quotes and has to be all on one line. (it will wrap on it's own) you can use a single quote ie: 'Internal Family' but no double quotes
So you can see that from line 31 through 54 - the writein you can change.
Note: Where you see /n or /n/n means carriage return - just one is the same as next line and two of them would equal new paragraph.
So... to make your changes click on the edit button and then click on the HTML button (I like the yingyang button)
Scroll down to where you see:
<!-- Rueben this where can edit the writein on mouse over. //-->
You will notice that I made a slight change in testing and I put ~located in an unincorporated testing area of San Diego~
Note: In HTML mode, all of the edit buttons are disabled. And the HTML button reads TEXT.
Try it out and save then go back to your site to see your changes.
Coming up in lesson #3 changing, rearranging and adding images to your movie clips and mouse overs.
Call me if you need any help.
